SUMMARY

Drives trucks or tractors at vehicle parking or docking area to move, position, or park trucks or trailersinlot or at docks.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates company pup as needed.

Connects loaded semi trailers to tractors for ATC Driver.

Provide basic service of trucks and tractors.

Inspects trucks and other equipment for defects, and ensures that repairs are made if necessary under the

direction of the dispatcher.

Ensures loads are properly positioned and secured.

Fills in for dispatcher when needed.

Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and

procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively

with customers or employees of organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,

and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram

Commercial Drivers License, Class A, and appropriate endorsements; Current DOT Medical Certificate.
