Under the direction of a Recreation Supervisor, performs skilled labor and completes duties related to janitorial, recreation programs and facilities. Questions: Please contact Tate Shaw at tshaw Examples of Job Duties With attention to detail, performs janitorial duties throughout the MARC (Park City Municipal Athletic and Recreation Center). This includes, but is not limited to cleaning of equipment, gymnasium, tennis courts, track, restrooms, windows, carpets and game room, re-racking of weights, removing trash, mopping, vacuuming and sweeping of floors. Performs rental and program set up and tear down throughout the facility in relation to youth and adult sports, party rentals, corporate and private events. Provides seasonal maintenance work as needed, including but not limited to snow removal, installation and removal of wind screens, pool opening and closures, sweeping of facility entryway and tennis courts. Makes minor repairs, tests equipment and does preventive maintenance associated with fitness and recreation equipment and facilities. Relays needed information as to inventory of supplies and equipment maintenance. Adhere to all City and departmental safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned or directed. Experience and Qualifications 1 year custodial experience First Aid-CPR certificate Other Information Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other divisions, and the public. Ability to communicate effectively Ability to follow oral and written instructions Skilled in providing quality customer service. Skilled in general custodial practices. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to perform manual labor, including: working on ladders, lifts, rooftops or in cold, hot, or dusty conditions. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubs, vacuums and carpet shampooers. Knowledge of proper safety precautions when using cleaning agents, lifting heavy objects, or when performing maintenance duties in hazardous settings.
