We are currently looking for a Media Prep Technician. Hours are M- F 2PM to 10PM , Our training for the first 2 weeks is M-F 9AM to 5PM with our training department.

Duties: Responsibilities
�Manage media preparation work flow to meet customer turn-around-time expectations.
�Coordinate the completion of all media preparation tasks.
�Maintain and ensure completion of media batch records.
�Complete second person verification on media records as necessary.
�Complete a regular inventory of the chemicals and ingredients stored in media prep.
�Submit orders for chemicals and ingredients to Purchasing as necessary.

Supplies

�Ensure that the supplies needed for media preparation are available.
�Submit orders for supplies to Purchasing as necessary.

Steam Sterilizers

�Ensure a log is completed for each sterilizer load.
�Perform the secondary review of sterilizer logs.
�Perform weekly leak tests.
�Oversee the weekly sterilization of biological indicators.

Dilution Blanks

�Oversee the preparation of dilution blanks for the laboratory.
�Ensure that new blanks are prepared prior to the inventory being depleted.
�Ensure any expired blanks are disposed properly.

Good Housekeeping

�Oversee the completion of the daily and weekly media prep 5S checklists.
�Ensure Good Housekeeping Practices are followed in the media preparation, plate pouring and sterilizer rooms.
�Ensure all expired chemicals and media ingredients are disposed according to procedure.

Regulatory Compliance

�Know and follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc).
�Know and follow company policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a High School diploma or equivalent and one year paid lab experience.

Applicants must be able to routinely lift 20-30 pounds and be comfortable with handling hot liquids.

All applicants must pass a drug test and background to be considered.
