We are looking for a Net App Storage Engineer to join our Systems Services team in our Managed Services Hosting group. The Storage Engineer is responsible for all disk storage and system backups for our hosted retail chain customers.

Specific responsibilities include:

�Manage approximately 30 Net App storage systems
�Storage tuning to support Tomax Retail.net software on Oracle databases;
�Documenting best practices for disk tuning, as well as regular maintenance and implementations;
�Performing backups to both disk and tape with off-site tape rotations;
�Documenting all backup and recovery procedures and daily maintenance;
�Maintaining tape library hardware maintenance and cleaning;
�Restoring tapes;
�Planning for capacity and allocation of all storage products;
�Monitoring systems, including tuning and maintenance; and
�Other tasks as assigned

The successful candidate must possess:

�Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related degree or equivalent work experience;
�5+ years performing a similar role;
�Solid technical background;
�Experience with the following:
◦NetApp filers
◦iSCSI tuning and optimization on UNIX/Linux
◦NFS tuning and optimization on UNIX/Linux servers;
◦NDMP backups and restores
◦Solaris and RedHat Linux
◦Basic network troubleshooting with Cisco switches/routers
◦Server hardware troubleshooting
�Strong personal initiative and ability to work independently in a high stress environment;
�Ability to troubleshoot problems in person, over the phone or via email while maintaining a professional demeanor;
�Ability to work directly with customers on a regular basis;
�Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
�Strong interpersonal and communication skills; and
�Ability to make informal presentations.
