The Utah Indigent Defense Commission is hiring a Research Consultant. This position will be a critical member of our small team. This role will be responsible for assisting in data collection and coordination to help develop and maintain databases,repeatable processes,reports,and presentations. Principle Duties As a Research Consultant in the Indigent Defense Commission you will: Assist with data collection and analysis Help to create and maintain databases Develop automated,consistent,repeatable processes,reports and standard formats for access to this data. Prepare presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis. Assist in improving data analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will possess: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong working knowledge of MS Access and MS Excel Experience with relational databases and complex data structures Ability to create complex data schemas Ability to translate real life situations into concise and applicable reports Ability to be flexible while working on a small dynamic team Comfort analyzing,manipulating,and maintaining the integrity of large data sets Familiarity with the Utah Courts System and or State Criminal Justice System The Perks In this position,you would enjoy the generous benefits package offered by the State of Utah.
