Solutions Architect – SharePoint – West Valley City, Utah

Zions Bancorporation is accepting applications for the Solutions Architect – SharePoint position located in West Valley City, Utah. The Solutions Architect is responsible for architectural standards, technology roadmaps, stakeholder guidance, and overall execution for the SharePoint platform.

Responsibilities:
* Provide IT architecture support for SharePoint platform, technologies and processes
* Help define technology standards and governance processes for SharePoint
* Collaborate with the SharePoint engineering team to develop and maintain SharePoint roadmap, incorporating vendor offering changes in light of business needs and company’s overall strategy
* Guide customers and user communities in the adoption of SharePoint, including the elicitation and documentation of solution requirements on a per-project basis
* Assist SharePoint project efforts as a subject matter expert in multiple capacities including design, development, integration and issue resolution
* Coordinate with delivery teams (development, infrastructure, project management) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of SharePoint solutions
* Lead relevant SharePoint architectural forums for coordination between technology groups and user communities, including technology working groups, user groups, and participation in the integrated center of excellence
* Provide user education and solution analysis (build vs. buy, SharePoint vs. alternative tools, etc.)
* Provide architectural support for related technologies and initiatives (BPM, Content Management, social media, collaboration)
Requirements:
* Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate agreement between various stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
* Excellent written communication skills, including the production of clear, professional reports, diagrams, and other architectural artifacts in a timely fashion
* 4 years of experience in an enterprise operations role as system engineer, developer, DBA or architect in a distributed environment (server administration, network operations, infrastructure architecture, .NET, Active Directory etc.), preferably with Microsoft technologies
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field
* Hands-on experience implementing, supporting and designing technical solutions with SharePoint in an enterprise environment
* Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise IT processes and service management concepts (e.g. ITIL)
* Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication at all organizational levels
* Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations, and producing high-quality deliverables (documentation, presentations, research, etc.)
* Ability to analyze problems, process complex data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Experience in management or other leadership position a significant plus
* Banking or other Financial Services experience a plus
