Summary of Role

The Carrier Plan Data Integration Pod Manager is responsible for team and individual development, process development and refinement, and ensuring that the businesses needs are met relating to carrier plan data integration. They are responsible for day to day performance and process for team of Data Integration Analysts. They ensure proper end to end completion of projects related to carrier onboarding, including reviewing file specifications and loading data into the OneExchange system. The Carrier Plan Data Integration Pod Manager works with carriers to resolve any ongoing issues with loading plan data. The Carrier Plan Data Integration Team’s primary function is acting as an intermediary between the CAMs (Carrier Account Managers) and the technical teams such as the Database and Development teams in order to effectuate changes in our systems that are related to loading rates, benefits, brochures, pharmacy/provider links, voice/text disclaimers into the SSC (Service Support Center) and OneExchange website for both IFP (Individual and Family Plans) as well as Medicare plans. The team works in JIRA to obtain ticket requests for updates or notifications of issues that need troubleshooting (e.g. dispatcher notifications, applications reportedly not quoting correctly). Additionally, the team will create Data Services/Database requests such as migration requests to execute tasks that cannot be completed internally and require support from these teams.

The Role

  • Work with Carrier Plan Data Integration teams on process improvement, and implementation.

  • Develop and disperse training programs around technical skills and best practices.

  • Work with team plan, organize, and implement personal development timelines for individuals.

  • Encourage the appropriate and accurate use of information across the company, and identify new ways in which information can be used to solve business problems or improve processes.

  • Promote strategic enterprise goals related to data quality, integrity, consistency, and accuracy.

  • Coordinate internal resources assignments with leadership team and define priorities based on resources availability and Stakeholders’ expectations.

  • Conduct presentations, and effectively communicate product functionality.

  • As teams identify and resolve functional issues, this role will help consult, and provide optimal solutions for Stakeholders’ needs, in escalated scenarios that require leadership direction.

  • Establish a communication schedule to update internal and external teams on any project updates or team direction.

  • Responsible for oversight on the day-to-day operational aspects of projects for the purpose of accomplishing team / department goals and objectives in the best possible way.

Minimum Criteria & Skills (including education & licenses)

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related discipline, preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a related position.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including basic technical or logical writing experience.

  • Knowledge of EDI systems not required, but preferred.

  • Familiarity with ETL systems as well as data integration standards and best practices.

  • 1 year of experience in technical writing, specifically around gathering technical requirements for ETL and data system changes not required, but preferred.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including simple formulas, sorting, and filtering.

  • Knowledge of Medicare and the health insurance industry not required, but strongly preferred.

  • Self-Starting - takes independent action and goes beyond what the job or situation requires.

  • Ability to be in a multi-faceted role throughout a project lifecycle; be flexible and be able to switch “hats” seamlessly.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
