Requisition Number 701-13429 Job Title Supervisor II, Clean room Working Hours US 600a-430p M-TH Location South Jordan, UT Job Description This position performs assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required to resolve problems and make recommendations. Schedules and directs the activities of production employees who assemble products to ensure that customer expectations for quality are met and profitability goals are achieved. Supervises the completion of work orders generated to complete production schedules for product and-or to maintain adequate numbers of stocked inventory to meet customer demand. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED * Provides project leadership as assignment by management. * Supervises production of products to meet work order delivery requirements by: * Assigning work orders to work teams to assemble products according to product specifications; and * Overseeing or preparing necessary paperwork and reports necessary for the completion of work orders; and * Overseeing the general maintenance of the clean room to insure a healthy work environment for employees and to maintain neatness and order; and * Coordinating with Manufacturing Manager, Quality Assurance Technicians and Engineers to ensure that quality standards are maintained in production. * Supervises production workers and leads by: * Reviewing work performed and providing feedback regarding performance. * Coordinating work assignments, transfers, promotions and discharges in compliance with company policies. * Evaluating individual employees and recommending pay increases as they occur. * Hiring new employees for the production line, as needed. * Obtains feedback from employees and Quality Assurance regarding the production of various products to ensure that the product is being produced at acceptable levels of quality. * Works with other members of the production team to establish and achieve production and profitability goals. * Trains leads and production workers in production methods, safety, and the maintenance of cleanliness standards in the production process. * Reviews production operations and identifies opportunities to improve work processes and methods. * Evaluates production performance in achieving output and profitability targets. * Assures that the production operation is consistent with current procedures and other standards and that all line clearances and related paperwork are properly completed on a timely basis. * Performs other related production supervision tasks, as required. SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Education and experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree. * A minimum of five years of supervisory experience, preferably in a related manufacturing environment and demonstrated ability to supervise others in a team atmosphere. * Ability to read and understand complex manufacturing and production information, including production drawings, work orders, and related manufacturing specifications. * Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to identify improvements in manufacturing methods and processes. * Ability to plan and organize production schedules to complete work orders on a timely basis and ensure that each work order is properly filled. * Ability to communicate effectively with others orally. * Ability to train employees and demonstrate production tasks to assist new employees to learn correct production procedures. * Ability to work effectively as a manufacturing team member to achieve production goals. * Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs....
