Ancestry Sr. Director, Customer Relationship Marketing and Operations in Lehi, Utah
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Marketing. As the successful candidate you will bring your knowledge and experience to lead a team responsible for developing, executing, optimizing, and monitoring all digital marketing touch points to customers in our database. You will have marketing experience in not only email, but mobile and paid communication channels, with a holistic vision of how those work together to help the customer succeed in their journey to “discover their past, to inspire their future.”

What you will do
Will serve as the leader for the CRM & database marketing division driving customer engagement, acquisition and retention across the entire customer lifecycle.
Manage and provide clear vision to a talented group of diverse technical, analytical, and creative individuals.
Develop incredibly strong cross-functional partnerships with key business stakeholders in Marketing and Product & Technology by showing a deep understanding of their priorities and how CRM can help advance the broader Ancestry objectives.
Establish and manage key CRM goals that are clearly linked to the broader Ancestry voice and brand vision with a process for tracking metrics.
Partner with Product & Technology teams to manage and deliver global CRM technology needs; always looking to leverage innovative marketing technologies to help drive customer relevance and engagement.
Guide data capture efforts across Marketing, and Product & Technology teams.
Drive a personalization agenda and identify opportunities to enhance/improve the quality of the consumer experience across all customer touchpoints and throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
Develop actionable, data-driven insights to inform CRM marketing strategy.
Identify areas of risk and develop plans to communicate/mitigate those risks.
Who You Are**
Executive presence with strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally, with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
10+ years experience in establishing and managing complex CRM campaigns and programs, overseeing the design and development of email, push notifications, SMS, paid advertising and web experiences targeting customers in the ancestry database.
Understanding of tech stack requirements in a digital ecosystem to execute personalization at scale.
Demonstrated experience as a CRM guru with deep seeded knowledge and grasp of the ancestry business.
Possess a unique balance of analytical skills and intuition; comfortable interpreting data, deriving actionable insights and using them to inform strategic direction, leveraging both intuition and data to drive decision making.
Demonstrated experience presenting data and recommendations to senior executives.
You will be managing large high-performing marketing teams with varying styles and strengths. You must lead and mentor them to continue to build a best-in-class team.
Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is strongly recommended.
B.S. or Master’s Degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications or with equivalent subject matter experience.
