DESCRIPTION Company is seeking a Sr Database Administrator to support DISA at Hill AFB, UT RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide technical support such as system management, system processing strategies, Oracle, and UNIX hardware and software application processing, Oracle application scheduling, Oracle and UNIX systems administration, applications set-up, processing and recoveries, database administration, computer performance analysis, workload balancing, managing the Patrol Agent operating system, event management, monitor, troubleshoot, and provide problem resolution for Patrol Central, communications, application and customer support. * Provide senior level technical support in all supported versions of Oracle Relational Database Management System RDBMS, Oracle Applications Financials, Oracle Application Server, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Fusion Middleware Suite, PL-SQL, Oracle Portal, RMAN, and SQLnet products to include building new Oracle instances and schemas; migration of application database subsystems; troubleshooting and diagnostics of Oracle RDBMS system and vendor software; and monitoring and tuning Oracle RDBMS. Provide technical support of Oracle on: UNIX, LINUX, WINDOWS, SOLARIS AND HP-UX Enterprise servers. * Provide senior level technical guidance in resolving operational-production issues to include hands-on support of the computers and on-the-job training of Government personnel within this area. * Provide technical support such as senior level database management support in the broad range of maintenance and utilization of the Oracle Database software operating in the architecture of the UNIX, LINUX, WINDOWS, SOLARIS, HP-UX, and other Mid-Tier systems. * Perform functions to include creating new Oracle databases; migration of application database subsystems; troubleshooting and diagnostics of applications, system and vendor software; and monitoring and tuning Oracle instances and applications, performing Oracle RDBMS software upgrades, installations and maintenance. * Perform functions to include code, test, implement, and maintain database architectures. Analyze and resolve any database system production problems and execute database utility requirements. Report findings via the monthly status report to the COR for review. * Monitor products within the data processing environment using such system monitors as Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control, Quest LiveReorg and Toad for Oracle, and locally developed monitoring scripts. Report any irregularities to the COR via monthly status reports. * Provide technical support for SQL*net, PL-SQL, External Procedures, Oracle security as defined by the DISA * database STIG. Resolve problems that occur during program testing and in production modes. * Provide technical consulting services to the customer on questions and issues relating to the database software maintained on Ogden systems for the Oracle Database,
