Job Purpose The HR Manager is responsible for implementing, administering and maintining the Human Resources function for the Spanish Fork, UT and Cedar City, UT locations. They will work twith corporate staff, local managers and supervisors to insure the human resource asset for the company is treated with respect. They will insure adherenace to all Federal, State and local laws as well as Company policies and proeedures that relate. Essential Functions and Responsibilities This list identifies the essential functions. As with all jobs, all duties and responsibilities are not listed, and will vary based upon the department, team, and business needs. * Oversee-coordinate the selection and hiring process for the union-production employees in Cedar Rapids and Seward. Follow corporate processes for the selection and hiring of salaried positions. Maintaining all required records-documentation. * Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering the labor contract, policies, and procedures and helping to resolve work-related problems. * Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes. * Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, administering disciplinary procedures, and coordinating the termination process. * Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives. * Support the payroll function for the two facilities as a backup to the payroll process and as the management advocate in resolving problems and establishing best practices. * Support the safety function for the two facilities by maintaining-tracking training records and assisting in the workers' compensation process. * Perform other duties as assigned.
